Course Overview
Students assemble, configure, test, and operate a small unmanned robotic aircraft while learning the engineering principles required for stable flight. The curriculum introduces electrical systems, radio frequency communications, Flight Controllers, Video Transmitters, Cameras, Electronic Speed Controllers, Brushless Motors, Inertial Sensors, Battery Technology, Aerodynamics, Safety procedures, and Flight Planning. Students complete hands-on exercises involving system integration, calibration, troubleshooting, and flight operations while developing STEM skills in engineering design, applied physics, electronics, and robotics.
